Andre Rieu and his Johan Strauss Orchestra in Concert, Friday May 23rd in Bridgeport (CT)Some 8,000 people filled the Arena in Bridgeport, CT to capacity. Andre Rieu and his Johan Strauss Symphony Orchestra did not disappoint. He engaged the public with superb performances of popular classical and contemporary compositions. He presented a repertoire that was tailored to the regional audience.
It was entertaining, witty, tasteful and of high professional level. His brand is unique and I can understand why he is packing houses in all parts of the globe. Being there in person is even better than seeing him in concert on PBS. I counted 17 encores... for a concert that lasted two-and-a half hours as promised. |
